National Association of Mission Pastors (NAMP)
NAMP began over 20 years ago as a ministry of ACMC--Advancing Churches in Missions Commitment. A church who joined ACMC at at a certain membership level could nominate one of its staff as a member of NAMP. Our first president was Sam Earp, and more recently Stan Pitocki and Bob Schneider, with Monnie Brewer currently serving as president.
Three years ago ACMC closed and NAMP became "homeless." Then in 2008 NAMP found its new identity and home within CrossGlobal Link. Once again there is stability, direction and building momentum for our group of mission pastors. Now, once again NAMP has the potential of advancing the effectiveness of churches in mission.
It’s been 5 years since mission pastors have met together in their own venue to discuss their unique challenges and struggles, and to get encouragement from fellow practitioners. But that wait is over - we are Rekindling the Fire!
A Summit
Rekindling the Fire will create an environment in which each attendee will be given the opportunity to highlight the unique ministry areas of his or her church’s missions thrust. There will also be participation in smaller groups to define and tackle at least one of the Primary Issues facing the North American Church today.
